The Crew 2 Inner Drive Update Adds 20 New Cars, New Vanity Items and More
The Crew 2’s next big post-launch content update ‘The Crew 2 Inner Drive’ has been detailed and will launch later today March 25th - including a slew of new content both on release and drip fed over the next few weeks and months.
The Crew 2 Inner Drive features a ton of new content, with 20 brand-new cars coming to the game in addition to new LIVE Summits, 105 new vanity items, new characters and more!
Here’s the rundown of everything coming to The Crew 2 with the Inner Drive update today and what we can expect over the next few months!
New Vehicles
The Crew 2 Inner Drive introduces 20 new vehicles to Motornation, with some being up for grabs as soon as Inner Drive goes live on March 25th, and others being rolled out in regular content drops thereafter via both the Shop and as LIVE Summit rewards.
On March 25th, two new vehicles will be available to purchase; The 2020 Koenigsegg Jesko and the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Both of these vehicles can be purchased from the Shop using either Bucks or Crew Credits.
On April 8th, the Elite Bundle 4 will be available featuring three exclusive vehicles for one month:
• Enzo Ferrari (2002) – Hypercar
• Lamborghini Diablo GT (1999) – Street Race
• Proto Alpha Mark X (2020) – Alpha Grand Prix
Lastly, Touring Bikes - a brand new vehicle type for the Touring Car discipline - is also being added, but will be available later down the line a few weeks after the release of The Crew 2 Inner Drive.
Several new cars have been spotted in The Crew 2 Inner Drive launch trailer, including a Mazda RX-7 FC, Plymouth Roadrunner, Hummer H4 and more.
New Vanity Items
Four brand new Vanity Item types are coming with The Crew 2 Inner Drive: Window Tints, Custom Nitro, 2D Emotes and Custom Horns. To celebrate the launch of Inner Drive, all players will receive 10 Emotes and 10 Horns for free as soon as the update goes live.
With 105 new vanity items included in the Inner Drive update, more items for these new vanity types – and existing types such as Underglows, Smokes, and Tires – will be rolled out on a regular basis.
Reworked Avatars and Interface
The Crew 2 Inner Drive has completely reworked avatar character models & animations, and outfits - with 8 brand new avatar characters to pick from. Upon launching the game for the first time after the update, you will be required to select your new avatar before you can continue.
When walking around your Home or one of the HQ’s, a third-person camera has been added so you can now see your characters walk and run around the environment.
Not only have the character models seen a make-over with this new update, the main menu and interface layout has also been upgraded. You can read the full Inner Drive patch notes to find out more about whats changed.
New LIVE Summits
Just like with the updates that came with it, a batch of 15 new LIVE Summits are on the way with their own exciting set of rewards.
The first five weeks of LIVE Summits are:
Week 1: Scenic Tour
Week 2: The Brits
Week 3: Full Throttle
Week 4: Downhill
Week 5: American Slice
Hobbies and New Features
Inner Drive will introduce a brand-new feature called Hobbies into The Crew 2, but details on what exactly this new feature may be is a mystery. The feature is expected to launch “in the coming months”, so we’ll be sure to keep you up to date when this feature is revealed.
In addition, Inner Drive will also bring new features such as Air Nitro (hit a jump with a ground vehicle and burn your nitro, see what happens!), balancing and handling tweaks (good bye Hypercars setting off-road escape records), bug fixes, and more!
And that’s everything for The Crew 2 Inner Drive so far! What are your thoughts on the new content, will this make you pick up the game again and give it a shot? Share your thoughts below!
The Crew 2 Inner Drive is a free update for all players launching on March 25th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
