The Crew 2 Demolition Derby Update Content and Release Date Announced
The Crew 2’s second free major update has officially been announced, and will introduce a brand new Demolition Derby discipline, the long-awaited PvP mode, 14 brand new cars and much more next week on December 5th.
Demolition Derby events will take place in two unique arenas across the map. The first arena is located in the Bonneville Salt Flats, where players will earn points by crushing opponents while dodging obstacles such as falling elevators and spring-loaded boxing gloves. The second arena is a circuit located in the heart of Tucson aircraft cemetery, and will allow players to push opponents off the track with devastating results.
Fourteen brand new vehicles are being added with this update, with five of them being fully destructible demolition derby cars. The remaining 9 other vehicles have yet to be announced.
This update will also add the highly-requested PvP mode to The Crew 2. Up to eight players can compete in a variety of motorsport disciplines with a consistently updated event selection. PvP Leagues have also been introduced, which will grant players exclusive rewards for those looking for the ultimate competition.
Lastly, more than 20 new challenges and activities have been added including brand-new Drift, Alpha Grand Prix and Rally Cross events. Live Contracts have also been added, however there are no details so far what these are.
This sounds like a very meaty content update indeed and one that The Crew 2 has desperately needed for some time. What aspects from this new content update interests you most and will you be jumping back into The Crew 2 on December 5th to try out the new update? Let us know your thoughts down below!
