Gran Turismo 7 May Update Adds Three New Cars Including All-New Suzuki Vision GT Car
After being teased by Polyphony Digital President Kazunori Yamauchi last week, the latest Gran Turismo 7 is out now and adds three new cars, including a new never before seen Vision Gran Turismo car, as well as new Menus, events and more.
The highlight of the update being the new Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo - a car that was developed as a unique all-wheel drive super sport, a fusion of Suzuki’s sporting mindset that flows in their 4- and 2-wheel machines.
The body is an open 2-seater layout, and was developed incorporating Suzuki's cutting edge weight reduction technology. As a result the car only weighs 970 kg. The entire silhouette and details of the car carries over the DNA of popular Suzuki sports models such as the Swift Sport and Cappuccino.
Polyphony have mentioned in the reveal post they plan to add a Gr.3 version of this Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo in the future.
Two new vehicles have also been added alongside the Suzuki Vision GT, the TOYOTA GR010 HYBRID ’21 and Roadster Shop Rampage Chevrolet Camaro. The prices for these vehicles can be found below:
Roadster Shop Rampage - 300,000 Cr.
Suzuki Vision GT - 1,000,000 Cr.
TOYOTA GR010 HYBRID ’21 - 3,000,000 Cr.
Three new Menu Books have been added, focusing on Lightweight K Cars, Vision GT and GR.1 Prototype vehicles. Menu’s 40 and 41 will appear after clearing Menu Book No. 39 ('Championship: World GT Series') and having watched the ending, with a Collector Level of at least 20. Menu Book No. 42 will appear when the same conditions are met and your Collector Level is at least 30.
Accepting these from the GT Cafe will unlock a series of new events for you to play and earn rewards, including a 2013 Radical SR3 SL and two Six-Star Roulette Tickets.
Update 1.15 also reintroduces a feature from GT Sport which was seemingly removed for Gran Turismo 7, allowing players to now export their saved Scapes or Race Photo Mode photos directly to the PS5 and PS4 capture gallery, allowing to be transferred via USB or shared on social media.
Seven new paint colours have also been added to GT Auto, alongside various other smaller additions such as Online Time Trials added to Sport mode, new featured Scapes locations and ‘Birthday Present’ Tickets rewarded to players when playing Gran Turismo 7 on their birthday. Numerous bug fixes and improvements have also been made.
Gran Turismo 7’s May Update, Version 1.15 is available to download now on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, weighing in at 939MB.
