Forza Motorsport Gameplay and New Details Revealed, Launches Spring 2023
Xbox and Turn 10 Studios have finally revealed new details on their next generation Forza Motorsport title, simply titled ‘Forza Motorsport’, which will launch in Spring next year exclusively for Xbox Series X|S consoles, PC and day one on Game Pass.
During the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, Turn 10 revealed a brand-new trailer captured in-game and running on Xbox Series X showcasing the first look at gameplay of Forza Motorsport. You can check out the trailer below:
Maple Valley – a beloved, fan-favorite track since the very first Forza Motorsport game launched in 2005 – is returning in Forza Motorsport (2023), and being brought to life in stunning detail and beauty on the latest iteration of ForzaTech engine.
Other fan-favourite tracks appeared in the trailer including Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and Laguna Seca Raceway, alongside two new circuits making their Forza Motorsport debut: Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, a South African track, and the all-new Circuit Hakone set in Japan, an original, high-speed Grand Prix circuit built to showcase the technically advanced, state of the art immersion of the new Forza Motorsport.
Every track in Forza Motorsport has been built from the ground up to showcase the Xbox Series X|S consoles, with new features such as overhauled physics, more detailed car models and tracks, new dynamic time of day, advanced car damage and even real time ray tracing during gameplay.
Forza Motorsport’s new Dynamic time of day system will be available on every track, altering ambient temperatures which can impact the track’s surface temperature during races. These changes can affect the grip of your car, as does rubbering in and weather.
Turn 10 have completely overhauled the core driving experience to take advantage of the new consoles, including a 48 times improvement in the fidelity of the physics simulation. New features like tire and fuel management, multiple tire compounds, and new in-depth car building are being added based on player feedback from Forza Motorsport 7.
Car damage in Forza Motorsport is taken to a new level with an all-new simulation in the directionality of damage. Car damage will be reproduced down to the individual scratches on the bodywork, showing how the paint peels away at exposed and raised edges, in the wheel abrasions, and in the dirt build-up.
Turn 10 plans to share more details on Forza Motorsport later this week during Forza Monthly this Thursday, June 16.
Forza Motorsport is set to release in Spring 2023 for Xbox Series X|S consoles, PC via Steam and Windows 10, and will launch Day One for Xbox Game Pass members. For all the latest Forza related news and announcements, stay tuned to our socials.
