Forza Horizon 4 Fortune Island Expansion Announced, Launches Next Month

Forza Horizon 4’s first major expansion has been revealed, taking players to the brand-new location of Fortune Island - the largest expansion Playground Games have made to date.

Fortune Island will feature some of the most extreme terrain seen in a racing game, made up of ravines, perilous cliff side roads and one of the longest paved mountain switchbacks the studio have ever built. The roads aren’t the only extreme addition to Fortune Island, with new weather conditions such as thunderous lightning storms and even the Aurora Borealis.

Fortune Island takes players on an all-new adventure in the remote northern reaches of the British Isles, where they will encounter extreme conditions including fierce lightning storms, perilous cliffside dirt roads, and sweeping paved mountain switchbacks under the mystical glow of the aurora borealis in search of hidden treasure.

Fortune Island is set to play host to many hidden treasures across the map, however Playground didn’t elaborate too deeply into what these may, so expect stuff such as new Barn Find vehicles and other collectible rewards.

The Fortune Island expansion will release on December 13th, and will be free of charge for owners of the Ultimate Edition.
